I make these Didgeridoos from agave cactus wood from New Mexico. The wood is split and hollowed out and then glued back together. Imperfections in the wood, such as worm holes, are filled with bondo. A mouthpiece of pvc pipe is made for the top few inches of the didge. The mouthpiece is made to fit with bondo so it looks like part of the wood. No wax mouthpiece is needed to play. Some of the Didgeridoos have gourds attached to make a bell at the end. The didgeridoos are varnished with a few coats of traditional varnish and painted with acrylic paint. They are then coated on the outside with a polyurethane. The inside is coated with an epoxy resin for the best sound.
